 ("Maiko" means Kyoto girl in hard training to become "Geisha". ) 
("Oni", one kind of devils, is feared for its superhuman strength,
yet it is also common in folktales especially for children.)

The edging decoration is also hand-painted.
After this drawing with raised enamel and fire, add drawing with liquid gold and fire.
Needless to say, the more firing, the greater the risk of damage to the plate.
So, the drawing of the main motif and the edging should be done simultaneously
with well consideration for the making.
